On March 2nd 2016 The Gardai requested Waterford Animal Welfare to attend to a horse found entangled in a fence in Ferrybank. The wire on the fence was so tight across the mares back legs we called a vet and the Waterford Fire Service to assist in the rescue of the mare. It took her half an hour to regain the use of her legs before been transported to our shelter. Further examination at the vets tomorrow it us expected to show permanent damage to her left eye.
A special thank you to vet Maria ftom Clancey Vets and Waterford City Retained fire crew for your assistance. The mare is named "Notmine". That's all we hear when these horses end up in these terrible predicaments
